Wedding Card

One of my best friend’s son is getting married so I decided I would make them a card.

My inspiration for this card was from the Card Maker Magazine May 2010.  But as always, as I start in the process my cards take a different direction from the inspiration card.  Hence, why it’s call inspiration and not a duplicate or copy.

The three panels are made out of some embossed pearled paper I had in my stash.  I used silver embossing powder on the edges.

I used my Copic markers to color in the Groom and Bride and then added a little Diamond Dust to the Bride’s dress after I stamped them in silver.

That is a scalloped oval Nestibilities and  a plain oval Nestibilities paired together and I used MS white gold glitter on the edges.  The stamp is a 2000 Stampendous stamp that my #1 Daughter had in her stash.  I love it when you get to use some of those older stamps you’ve had for a while.   There are some little half pearls scattered across the three panels.   The ribbon is a $1 find at M’s.

The Mr. & Mrs. are a rub-on that I made with my computer and then I took an embossing pen and embossed them with silver embossing powder.

I also used silver embossing powder around the white mat.  I just think silver and white with pearls are so beautiful.  The base of the card is silver.

The inside is very elegant and simple.  I discovered I had the CB embossing folder that was used in the magazine and I love the saying that was used.

I computer printed the saying first then I placed the CB embossing folder around the sentiment positioning it exactly the way I wanted it in the frame.

I embossed the edges again with silver embossing powder and sprinkled the half pearls around the impression.

Be sure to click on the pictures so you can get a close look.  This came out beautiful even if I do say so myself.   Now, I’m off to come up with some graduation cards.  Thanks for stopping by and be sure and leave me a comment.
