May Calendar – Finally

When I finished up my China Cabinet I decided to take some time off from painting.  Besides, it is extremely hot outside and I developed a rash that my family things is from the spray painting I was doing on the China Cabinet.

I decided to catch up on my calendars.

Here is May.  I was trying to get the background to look like a stain glass.

I used my latest find Sizzix’s Ink-its Letterpress Plate, that is the flower in the center inked up with pigment ink.  Then I started filling in with other flowers and items I have made.  The added flowers are some I made using coffee filters, distressed inks and TH’s Tattered Flowers die.

Copic’s were used for coloring and I used the distressed inks to dye the seam binding and a little Glossy Accents on the butterfly.  The felt bird and daisy are from M’s.

I buy most of my items from M’s, HL, Joanne’s and Stamp Asylum.  I try to get the most for my $$’s and that’s were the coupons come in handy.   I don’t like to have to wait on supplies or pay shipping cost and since I’m usually making trips to these stores I pick up items as I need them when I make a trip.  The Sizzix’s Ink-Its I found at the Scrapbook Convention that was in Dallas last weekend.
